Tiefling Devil Servants Pack - The Converted 3 pack
When a soul is rejected from Namneri’s Chalice and does not enter the bounds of Syelden, it is doomed to aimlessly wander the spiritual realm that exists alongside the physical plane. But a lure brings many away from that plane, an ephemeral glow of warmth in some far, vague place. Like moths to a flame they are drawn to it, and like moths to a flame they are singed and burned, reborn as Nosmeni, burning Children, or “The Converted” as those who live in the Nocturnal Abyss call them.
A wandering soul’s time upon the Spiritual Realm in Minera is nigh infinite. So it is not a question of “if” they will be lured to Nosmarka’s Nocturnal Abyss, but “when.” These are souls that were deemed unworthy of the afterlife promised in Syelden, doomed to be lost instead. But the machinations of Nosmarka are devilish, and where the Tharameni saw murderers, thieves and sinners, she saw soldiers, servants and generals. So a warm glow would beam in brightness once every few decades in the Spiritual Realm. Only a glimpse would shoot out, easily missed by the Tharameni, but for the sense deprived Lost Souls it was a beacon.
Slowly but surely, over decades, they would make their way to this beacon, and be reborn in devilish forms. In Tharador, they call these forms the Nosmeni, Burning Children. In Nosmarka’s Nocturnal Abyss, they call them The Converted. All of them begin at the First Reverie of Ignorance, and only through decades of labour, torture and growth do they move to the others. The most powerful Nosmeni of the Abyss have resided there for centuries, though some are descended from others who had been reborn there long before them.
In the First Stage of Ignorance, the Converted are first reborn into their new devilish forms. Here they are little better than they were as lost souls in death, aimlessly wandering through the hellish expanse, only uplifted to other Reveries by a moment of clarity or wisdom. Half of those reborn as Nosmeni never leave the First Reverie, and of those that do, only a tenth leave and make it to Tharador or other lands. The rest become fuel for the armies and servants of the Ten Reveries. By the time they make it to the Third Reverie of Decay, their bodies begin to break down, falling apart with rotting flesh and breaking bones. Those that endure this decay are reborn as the True Converted, more powerful souls that take up positions as soldiers instead of fodder, and eventually the ranks of generals, greater devils and greater demons.
