Halflings – also known as Hin, the "quick folk" amongst themselves, or the "sly folk" or "good folk" by other races – were humanoid creatures similar in shape to humans. The term "halfling" was derived from the fact that the average halfling was around half the size of the average human, but otherwise very similar in appearance.
