Dwarven General - Gordrain Stonehand

Born to a noble family with a prominent presence in Delvdor’s upper echelon, Gordrain was always destined for the military from birth. His father before him was the military advisor to five Burak’s of Delvdor, and Gordrain was told he would continue that legacy, even when he was too young to wield an axe. For decades he was trained and whipped into shape, forgoing any semblance of compassion, empathy or warmth that might have once been within him. He was honed into a weapon and a leader of the Dwarves.

When his father retired due to his old age, his sole recommendation for a replacement was his son, Gordrain. Burak Praznin thus choose the young Dwarf warrior without second thought, and was well rewarded for his choice. Several years after, the realm came into a time of strife as it was beset by monstrous beasts of the wilds, and raids from parties of Drow and Dark Dwarves against mines near the Lo Fuin border. Gordrain was tasked with the bulwark of the defense against these threats, and was able to mount an effective defense that repelled them. 

Now, two years after that, Dark Dwarves arrive at the door to his city, escorted by Drow and seeking refuge in the wake of the Rupture. Gordrain has half a mind to massacre all of them while they sit within the tunnels awaiting entrance, yet others in the Burak’s council have argued against this. Still, Gordrain is a stubborn and hardy Dwarf who won’t easily compromise his ideals for others, and if he must go against the wishes of the council, he will do so.
